After a few episodes as a guest host, Miles was officially brought into the fold at the beginning of 2023 and now regularly joins John Marcar and Amy Heynes on the podcast in conversations with our weekly special guests.

His background as a Professional Test Driver and Engineer, developing the latest supercars, provides an interesting narrative and opinion on the cars we review on the channel.

When not in the Driven studios, Miles can often be found on film sets either as a driver of an exciting car or the driver of a car chasing something exciting (with a camera attached to it). Miles also races in the Australian Prototype Series in a Praga R1.

So, how did this all come about?

Enjoy a brief history of Driven

Driven launched as an all-new media brand in June 2020, along with Paramex Digital, a subsidiary of Paramex LTD. The original premise of the Driven brand was a celebrity-based radio chat show with an automotive twist, ‘Driven on talkRADIO’.

In addition to the radio show, there was a spin-off podcast, ‘The Driven Chat Podcast,’ which featured highlights from the radio show and an informal chat between our founding team of hosts.

The founding hosts were Amy Shore, Jon Quirk, John Marcar and Andy Jaye.

Within the first year of launching, the Driven brand was divided and adapted according to its audience and focussed on what our listeners, viewers and followers loved the most.

The original show, ‘Driven on talkRADIO,’ was re-branded to ‘The Andy Jaye Show’ and became an exclusively celebrity-based chat show on talkRADIO without the original primary automotive focus.

With that adaptation, Driven and The Driven Podcast focussed primarily on automotive content, with John Marcar at the wheel.

In May 2021, The Driven Chat Podcast format was also given its very own home on talkRADIO and later talkSPORT as ‘The Driven Chat Radio Show’.

The Driven Chat Radio Show was initially hosted by Andy, Amy, and John, plus Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer. Later, motorsport broadcaster Rachael Downie was brought in to provide some additional motorsport expertise to the show.

In July 2022, Andy stepped down from Driven, leaving The Radio Show and The Podcast to be hosted by John, Amy, Rachael and the occasional guest host.

In November 2023, The radio format came to an end to focus on the podcast, youtube channel and editorial content.

Driven now operates primarily as a hugely popular weekly podcast enjoyed by around 5000 listeners per week, a growing YouTube channel offering automotive video features and reviews, a collection of social media feeds, and a strong editorial platform on the website reaching automotive fans across the globe.

Driven focuses on catering to the best aspect of the global automotive sector - the community around it. We know that the automotive industry is powered by passion and that our listeners, followers, subscribers, and fans love being a part of it as much as we do. With that in mind, we only produce content that is fitting, relevant, and deserving of our audience's time and attention.

Driven's hosts, content creators, media teams, producers, and editors alike are all equally passionate about the industry, each bringing their own brilliance to the roles in which they work.
